For the past 20 years have been working for environmental issues. In 2005, when I met Peepal Baba was the time when I realised the need of planting trees.
Since then I found a purpose to my life and I started volunteering for the cause. I raise thousands of saplings on my small terrace from the seeds which I collect locally from the parks and roadsides and it always gives me immense joy when I see my saplings maturing to full grown shade trees which support so much biodiversity.
Under the guidance and support of Peepal Baba who is founder of GIVE ME TREES TRUST my life journey has been enriching in many ways and a I now extend that support to the communities especially women folks in volunteering for this cause by creating their own gardens and nurseries because women are known to be nurturers and protectors.
Working with communities made me feel thqt we as humans collectively can make a lot of difference in overcoming the environmental crisis we are facing today.
In a nutshell, adopting a minimalistic and simple lifestyle and focusing my energies on conservation of nature rather than consumption of material goods and following a mundane meaningless pursuits in life has been quite uplifting.
Thanks and regards.
