Yoga for Back Pain
Back pain has become a part of our daily lives. Everyone later or sooner experience it. It can affect people of any age, for different reasons. It can result from injury, activity and some medical conditions.
The human back is composed of a complex structure of muscles, ligaments, tendons, disks and bones. Problem with any of these components can lead to back pain.
So if you are dealing with back pain, and have tried so many medications and never recovered completely. Then yoga may be just what you need.
Yoga therapy treats not only back pain but the stress that accompanies it. Just you need few minutes a day, you can gain more awareness of your body. Slowly, but surely you start noticing where you are holding tension and where are imbalances.
By practicing yoga, you develop intelligence of your body, which bring you in balance and alignment.
We at ASMYI always strive to achieve more in terms of how a pose can alleviate back pain and explore a pose to gain deep awareness which may be useful in treating back pain.
Although our experience supports yoga practice as a way to treat back pain, it may not be appropriate for everyone.
