Paschimottanasana

Paschimottanasana is a yoga pose that is also known as seated forward bend pose. In this pose, you sit on the floor with your legs straight in front of you and then you bend forward from the hips to reach towards your feet. It is a calming and grounding pose that stretches the entire back of the body from the heels to the neck.

Here are the steps to practice Paschimottanasana:

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you.
  2. Press your thighs and knees down into the floor and flex your feet so that your toes point up towards the ceiling.

  7. Hold the pose for 30-60 seconds while breathing deeply.
  8. To come out of the pose, inhale and lift your torso back up to a seated position.
  9. Repeat the pose two or three times.
