Programs & Admission

#Watch’n’Do is a simple approach to learn yoga and related subjects. It is made easy to the extent that students can observe and perform, while the teacher will check and correct mistakes and make sure students’ practice is on the right track. It is so fundamental that even an advanced practitioner will learn something new to enhance their understanding and practise.”

Subjective assessment

Each student undergoes a silent, non-judgemental ‘subjective assessment’. Here the progress is monitored and the course is curated according to the needs of the individual.
One should expect changes and modifications as they progress their learning in the course. This also prepares the mind of the student to be cultured & adapted to learning. At ASMYI we take this very seriously as any mis assessment may lead to unexpected outcomes.

“No two students are alike. Never compared. Never will be”

Teachers contribution

The course(s) are constructed keeping in mind the evolving need of the student(s). As they graduate from their first day at ASMYI through the course program, their needs and understanding evolves and better clarity sets in. This is used as a method by the teachers to steer the course according to how the students can benefit best from. In case the need is of a different nature, even if Therapeutic, is handled accordingly. The course is always brought to life and not just a unidirectional completion of a fixed syllabus. Hence the student can live and feel the instruction they receive in class.

Culture of community

The culture breathes and lives yoga in everything we do and stand for. Many festivals are organized, occasions are celebrated where students take an active part in. This community is welded like a family where we come to help anyone who may need assistance in any way whatsoever. ASMYI stands for the students who will eventually assume the center stage and take its name forward. Our students only will become flag bearers assuming control and full responsibility of its values in future.

Following the culture ‘for the students’, ‘by the students’, ‘of the students’; the teachers, via the system of ‘subjective assessment’ identify talent with active willingness in students. They are then nurtured and cultured to understand the high morale and dignity of the subject, that a teacher-student together must preserve.
